Dusk till Dawn
Dusk till Dawn moves to Badlands Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
On Tuesday, November 25th, Mythic announced that the Averheim server had become a "source" server for character transfers. Since the source servers will be decomissioned in the coming months we needed to find a new home for the guild and alliance. The Dusk till Dawn leadership team met for several hours Tuesday night with the Retribution alliance officers and the guild leaders from the other Destruction and Order guilds on Averheim.

The end result of the discussion was that Dusk till Dawn and the Retribution Alliance have decided to move from Averheim to Badlands. It appears that there are several Order guilds that will be following our lead.

The main guild was transferred Tuesday night and we are in the process of getting all the members back into the guild.

Another weekly update! Sunday, October 19th, 2008
Another week has gone by, and the excitement of Altdorf has become all but a dull shimmer in our memories. However, that doesn’t mean we haven’t stopped doing what we do best! We are continuing to take keeps and battle Order, leveling our brains out (braaaaaaaaaaainss), and abruptly finding out what Mythic perceives as exploitations. Ahhh… life is good, care for some lizard cake?

After having recruitment services open for a while now, we have turned down a lot of applications. However, in turn, we have carefully chosen those whom we think would be a great addition. Please let these new folks feel welcome as we invite them into our guild!

Phadunkadunk
Haul
Noxifide
Johnnyb
Schwohlten
Malakarlian
Hellress
Teriyaki
Elmador
Eburk
EZpickenser
Colenzo
Maluzu

We are waiting in anticipation as our savvy video fraps guys/gals make us a great new guild video. I can’t wait to see what we get!

Big congratulations to those who have gotten a promotion! We have new class leaders and they have all worked hard to understand the whole of their class to get it. Please congratulate:
Witch Elf Class Leader: Chavo
Magus Class Leader: Aeodian
Sorceress Class Leader: Hate

We're now guild rank 20! We may now show off our herald emblem!

On a side note, our guild only member forums have a lot of threads. When you post a new thread, please be sure that the topic hasn’t already been discussed. For example, when you are leaving to go on vacation … please don’t make a new thread, but post in the Official M.I.A. status thread.

We have a lot of 40’s now, congrats to all of those people. To all those still needing to get there: keep on truckin’!

Play the game, Enjoy the game, RULE the game.

Dusk till Dawn and Retribution sack Altdorf! Monday, October 13th, 2008
Dusk till Dawn and the Retribution Alliance add another skull to our necklace by being the first in the world to capture the Order capital city of Altdorf.

Below is a quote from Mark Jacobs (President of Mythic) concerning our accomplishment:

From what I've heard, destruction got real organized and did what a large organized force would do against a non-organized (not disorganized since there is no inherent overall organization unless the players make it so) force, they defeated that force. We will look at all the data, look at what's going in 1.0.3 and if we need to make some new tweaks, we certainly will do so but again, a city has only been taken on one server so far in 3 weeks.

The final nail in Order's coffin Wednesday, October 8th, 2008
The end is near for the forces of Order. Earlier today in a dimly lit alley of the Inevitable City, the final bloody signature was applied to the Retribution Alliance's pact of never-ending destruction.

With the addition of the Sinners, we have completed our recruitment and assembled the most competent and feared destruction alliance in history.

Stop and smell the fresh spilled blood... Monday, October 6th, 2008
With all the action that is happening, it's sometimes hard to take a step back to wipe your brow and notice what is happening around you. But, you can keep plugging away at your levels because that's why you have me telling you what's up! We have some really great opportunities for prospective members and some older members reaching their ranking limit!

A big congratulations to Masteryoduh and Novacane for reaching rank 40! Zura and Pitfall are running closely behind at rank 39 and 38, respectively. They don't get to relax now though! They have a whole lot of renown ranks to obtain before they can stop and smell the roses. The renown rank cap is at rank 80! Phew!

Prospective members, this is the time to show us you are someone that we can really count on! We are creaking open doors to give those that are determined, expert players and fast levelers a chance to wear our guild tag. Please visit our forums and fill out an application. Please be sure that you read all the stickies within the recruitment forums prior to filling out an application. Also, take the time to fill out the application fully and understandably. One word responses will not be in favor of you. Again, we are looking at full time players! If your playtime is very minimal, we regret to inform you that we may not accept you at this time. However, in the future we will be looking for all play time members.

Good luck to those interested in joining! I will look forward to WAAAGH-ing with you soon!

Play the game, Enjoy the game, RULE the game.

xoxo

Edit: Just to clarify, this is open to all prospective applicants. Therefore, it is not restricted to just friends and family of the guild.

Reminders! Thursday, October 2nd, 2008
Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having a blast within the realms of War!!

There are a few things that need to be touched upon today. The first is that if you are kicked from the guild due to inactivity (remember, inactivity is determined by not playing for one week) and will be fully active again, please see or talk to an officer (Iimzodar, Ruckus, Zura, Isryu), class leader (Jerikal, Masteryoduh, Thirem, Yvo, Zelgar) or the guys at the top (Santanico, Blackhand). They will invite you into the main guild (Dusk Till Dawn). Those that have been kicked due to inactivity and your play time will be unknown in the future, please contact an officer or someone that can invite you into the alt guild, (Dawn Till Dusk). Any member in the alt guild MAY invite people, however it is your responsibility to invite ONLY Dusk Till Dawn members or alts. If you get carried away and start inviting people that have not been accepted into the main guild, it will look very poorly on yourself. If you are in the alt guild, please continue to log into vent and do everything as per norm. Getting booted from inactivity doesn't mean you are gone for good!!!! You should be in either guild (main or alt) and not solo.

The second item that needs to be discussed is grouping. If you are looking around for a group to do scenarios or PQ's etc, and that group is full, start another one! There will always be people wanting to join if you just initiate and get a group going. If no groups are indeed up, start one! When you do have a group going, periodically send out messages in guild chat AND alliance chat. Don't be afraid to be assertive and get that ball rollin!

Gremlyn Wrote:Don't be shy in Vent either! If you don't have a group and want to PQ, RvR, or whatever, just do some channel hopping and more likely than not you'll find someone to do something with!

Have fun out there!

And, as always...
Play the game, enjoy the game RULE the game.

How to Take a Keep... Tuesday, September 30th, 2008
Step One. Get a bunch of people together and walk/run/ride to a keep.
Step Two. Kill the Lord (and any Order that stands in your way).
Step Three. Plunge your flag within a still warm body and say, "hey.. this keep is OURS."
Step Four. Defend your Keep for oh... about one and a half days.
Step Five. Look into Guild Vault.
Step Six. Scratch head.
Step Seven. Withdraw your flag from somewhat smelly corpse and exit the keep.
Step Eight. Raise Guild Taxes.

Now, let's elaborate!
Dusk Till Dawn did a fabulous job in defending the Stoneclaw (EvC) Keep in Tier 3 over the weekend. We claimed, we fought, and we conquered those who tried to oppose... then went bankrupt. Well, apparently having a keep is a bit expensive! It took about 400gold from our Guild savings, which equals to around 10gold an hour. Yikes! However, this will not deter DtD from taking Keeps in the future. In realizing that our fighting costs money-- guild taxes have been raised to 30%. Remember, this is only taken from looting corpses. This does not come from successful auctions or vendor loot. If you wish to further help out the guild, please raise your Tithe. What this does is gives more money from the corpses that you loot to the guild. The Tithe option is found under "Rewards" in the Guild window.

Our Tier 3 members have had some great excitement this past weekend. Not only have they claimed a keep, but they took a defended (none-claimed) keep from Mongbat. Thanks for the great fight, Mongbat! They also took a keep from Nox Imperator, however to our dismay we have found they will no longer reside as our opposition. Thanks for the fights guys!

A congratulations is in order for Dob as he is promoted to our Guild Ebayer! What does this mean to you? Well, send any items that you don't need or will collect dust in the Guild Vault to Dob. This includes crafting items and gear. These items are then put on the auction house and sold. The proceedings will then go directly to the guild for more cash-money!

We're looking forward to getting Guild Rank 15. We're hoping by tomorrow we can wear our capes proudly!

And, as you should already know....
Play the game, enjoy the game, RULE the game.

Gimme a WAAAAAAAGH! Thursday, September 25th, 2008
One week--that's right--only one week has passed and so much has happened. The Retribution Alliance is growing, people are gaining levels like crazy, and things are still settling down with who and what Dusk Till Dawn is all about.

If you're just starting out or can't play a lot, don't fret! Numerous people are still leveling slowly and are only in their early to mid teens. Get to know your guildmates and group up!

You might have noticed that some changes within the guild structure is starting to take place. People are going under review and promoted if the officers, leaders, and current members (Kindred Warriors) feel that the person (Target Dummy) is a good fit for the guild. This is going to be a somewhat slow process as we do have a lot of people. We'll lose some people through this process, and we will wish them luck with where they want to venture!

On a side note, over the past week DtD has been labeled a "zerg guild." People can think whatever they want, and due to the size of us, we'll probably always be labeled as such. However, what defines us as Dusk Till Dawn and not "Zerg Till Dawn" is that we are a structured guild that has players whom work together to reach that same goal. Our players are carefully selected through the massive amounts of applications, and then reviewed again through a sort of screening process. Anyone who has met us on the battlefield knows that Dusk Till Dawn has a complete understanding of what they are doing and are far from just needing sheer numbers to over take a small obstacles. So remember, when someone is calling us Zerg, don't get angry and want to flame them-- just know they are frustrated as all hell because we can obtain what we desire, which is to--

Thumb

Play the game, enjoy the game, RULE the game.
